President of IOHA 2020 Organizing Committee
It is a great honour and pleasure to welcome you to the wonderful city of Daegu, South Korea for the 12th IOHA International Scientific Conference.
Under the theme "Bridging Gaps in OH Development, Opening New Horizons", the congress organizers will be offering us a varied and high-quality menu of conferences, presentations, posters, seminars, and professional development courses.
The organizing committee and volunteers deserve our congratulations and sincere thanks for their efforts and selection of excellent conferences. Many thanks also go to the sponsors who are supporting this event.
This international conference, which is held once every three years, is a unique opportunity to discover worldwide advances in the field of occupational hygiene as well as forge links and create new contacts with experts from all over the world.
The city of Daegu and its friendly citizens also offer you the opportunity to enjoy a culture rich in history, art, architecture, gastronomy, nature, and tradition.
Occupational health and hygiene affect workers in all countries on earth, unfortunately some more than others. It is essential that our knowledge in the fields of elimination, substitution, sampling techniques, preventive measures, and technological advances be shared among our peers, as well as with various industrial and governmental stakeholders, to improve working conditions and health.
I wish you an excellent congress and stay in Daegu.
